Who is the Watamu trip for?
Our first escape is designed for moms traveling with their little ones. Future VillageAway trips will open up to more family configurations, including dads, grandparents, and beyond.
How many people are going?
We're keeping it small on purpose — just a handful of moms and their little travelers, so the trip stays intimate and unhurried.
Do I need to be based in Kenya to join?
Not at all. VillageAway is open to moms worldwide — fly in from wherever you are. Return flights from Nairobi to Watamu are included; getting to Nairobi is on you.
How does payment work?
After completing your travel profile, you'll pay via the VillageAway M-Pesa Till and submit your transaction code. Payments are verified manually — you'll receive confirmation directly from us once that's done.
What if my child has allergies or specific needs?
Tell us in your travel profile. It's exactly why we ask — so we can plan around what your little one actually needs.
Is this a one-time trip, or will there be more?
Watamu is our first escape, not our last. We're building toward a bigger village, with trips to new destinations over time.
